In August, O'Haire and Jindrak helped form the Natural Born Thrillers with Mike Sanders, Shawn Stasiak, Chuck Palumbo, Johnny "The Bull" Stamboli and Reno. They were briefly "coached" by Kevin Nash In September, O'Haire and Jindrak won the WCW World Tag Team titles for the first time. O'Haire and Jindrak won the title once more before splitting when O'Haire and Jindrak participated in a tag team battle royal with Natural Born Thrillers teammates Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo. After the conclusion of the match, Mike Sanders declared both teams victorious and said that the teams should trade partners. O'Haire formed a new tag team with Palumbo while the second team consisted of Jindrak and Stasiak. Palumbo and O'Haire defeated The Insiders (Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash) in January 2001. A short time later, The Natural born thrillers broke up when Stasiak and Jindrak became jealous of the new tag team champs. The teams met at WCW Superbrawl on February 18, 2001 for the tag team gold, and Palumbo and O'Haire retained their titles. O'Haire and Palumbo next fueded with Totally Buff (Buff Bagwell and Lex Lugar) and defeated them at WCW Greed on March 18th, 2001 to retain their tag team gold. For the next two weeks afer O'Haire and Palumbo feuded with Lance Storm and Mike Awesome defeating them on the final Nitro on March 26th, 2001. WCW was purchased by Vince Mcmahon and both O'Haire and Palumbo's contracts were picked up. Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo came into the WWF on June 28, 2001 as part of The Alliance attacking the Hardy Boyz but were attacked by the WWF guys. O'Haire and Palumbo started feuding with the A.P.A. in following weeks which ended at WWF Invasion on July 22nd, 2001 in which the APA defeated O'Haire and Plaumbo. O'Haire and Palumbo held an impressive victory over the Hardy Boyz on the August 2, 2001 edition of SmackDown!. O'Haire and Palumbo next dropped the WCW Tag Team titles to The Undertaker and Kane on the August 9, 2001 edition of SmackDown! and lost their rematch for the tag-team gold in a steel cage the following week on the August 13, 2001 edition of RAW. O'Haire and Palumbo's last televised match togeather was on the August 26th edition of HEAT defeating Hardcore Holly and Crash Holly. In September, 2001 Sean was sent to developmental territory and Chuck was thrown out of The Alliance in late October, 2001 and so he joined the WWF in November 2001. Sean was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) for seasoning where he joined Kenny Bolin's "Bolin Services". Sean O'Haire returned to WWE with long hair on the June 30th, 2002 edition of HEAT defeating Justin Credible made a few more appearances on WWE HEAT throughout the rest of 2002 while still working in OVW. In January of 2003 vignettes started to appear on WWE programming showing O'Haire in his new gimmick - a Devil's Advocate character. He would urge people to commit adultery, break the law, not pay taxes and not go to church, among other things. He ended each vignette with the line "Hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know". In 2003, O'Haire returned to the main SmackDown! roster telling various superstars to perform indecent acts which included persuading Spanky to streak through the arena, and Dawn Marie to flash the audience. Sean O'Haire's Dark Persona included a long black Trench Coat he wore to the ring, His obsession with Spiders including fairly new Tatoos with black flames on each wrist and on his left wrist was a red spider web shooting out from the flames and on his right wrist had a blue spider web. Also on the inside of his left forearm held a blue spider and on the inside of his right forearm held a red spider. His titantron video was also inside the body of a spider and a spider web in the backround. Sean O'Haire's quickly came under the tutelage of wrestling legend 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper in April 2003. Many fans were disappointed at how quickly O'Haire's promising new persona was abandoned but he held huge victories over Rikishi, Mr. America (Hulk Hogan), Chris Benoit, Funaki, and Eddie Guerrero. Things got worse for O'Haire when in June 2003, WWE officially released Piper from his contract on June 26th, 2003 right after O'Haire and Piper made their last appearance togeather on SmackDown!, the reason Piper was released was because of a controversial interview with HBO on June, 24th, 2003 in which Piper discussed the darker side of the wrestling business. O'Haire was left to fend for himself. Sean O'Haire spent the majority of the rest of 2003 and his career in matches on Velocity, Dominating anyone in his path untill early December, 2003 when O'Haire was involved in a mororcycle accident which required stitches, which kept Sean out of action for the next month or so. When O'Haire recovered he was sent back to OVW in February, 2004 and despite never being pinned on WWE television, he was released on April 4th, 2004. Sean O'Haire went to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling in May, 2004. On July, 17th, 2004 O'Haire and Roddy Piper Re-united at a Buffalo Brawl show where O'Haire was Roddy Piper's hand picked Wrestler to face Jimmy Hart's boy Abyss in which O'Haire defeated Abyss by Disqualification. After the match the entire locker room cleared on Abyss's behalf and O'Haire and Piper beat the hell out of everyone to a great Ovation from the crowd. On July 27, 2004 Sean O'Haire was arrested on charges of assault and battery stemming from a 6/12 incident at a night club. The Warrant states O'Haire allegedly punched 2 women, Ivy Rowland & Diedre Clancy at Club Hypnotic & kicked Clancy when down. On July 29, 2004 Sean O'Haire claimed the 2 women attacked him first, and if he really wanted to hurt them, they'd be in the hospital, O'Haire also added that he was attacked by two women and three men during the incident in question. On July 31st, 2004 O'Haire Faced Tom Howard at UPW Title Wave for the UPW Heavyweight Title but was pinned by Tom Howard when O'Haire's manager Pete Doyle accidentaly hit O'Haire with the UPW title belt when aiming for Howard. In August, 2004 Sean took a temporary leave from wrestling, competing and appearing in many mixed martial arts events. On September 18th, 2004, Sean O'Haire defeated 6'9 Tony Roberts in his MMA debut via Submission in 1:42 of the first round. On October 31st, 2004 at UPW'S Destruction In The Dessert, Sean won a 22-Man battle royal and later that night wrestled The Predator which ended in a double countout. On November 21th, 2004 O'Haire returned to MMA action defeating Shungo Oyama by TKO in 31 seconds in the first round. O'Haire would later go to fight for K-1 and On December 31st, 2004 O'Haire was defeated by Musashi by KO in 44 seconds of round two, also K1 rules applied. At UPW Homecoming Havoc On February 23rd, 2005 Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo Re-united and were defeated by Tom Howard and Predator in a hard fought match. Irish Pete was in O'Haire and Palumbo's corner, Rick Bassman was in Howard and Predator's corner. On April 30th, 2005 at the Battle at the Bellagio, Sean Nightmare O'Haire was defeated by Gary Goodridge by TKO in 55 seconds of round one. On November 5th, 2005 at HERO'S 2005 in SEOUL, Sean O'Haire was defeated by Min Soo Kim in 4 minutes 45 seconds of the first round with a front choke. On March 27, 2006 and on March 28, 2006, it was announced by Dave Meltzer that Sean O'Haire was backstage at the WWE RAW and SmackDown! shows. He wrestled Dark Matches: On RAW he lost in a match to Trevor Murdoch and on SmackDown! he was defeated by Scotty 2 Hotty. However, O'Haire was not resigned. On April 29th, 2006 at FieLDS K1 World GP - Mayhem at the Mirage, Sean O'Haire is defeated by German Fighter Chalid "Die Faust" Arrab in 23 seconds of round one. |
