TNA profile:

The captain of the elite Team Canada group, Petey Williams is one of the greatest pure wrestling athletes in TNA history.

Williams joined TNA in 2003, later joining his Team Canada partners in the America's X Cup events. Team Canada remained strong after the World X Cup, with Williams making history in August 2004 when he won the X Division Championship in a Gauntlet Match.

Williams established himself as one of the top X Division athletes in the world during his near six-month title reign, defending against stars like AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Elix Skipper and other X kingpins.

Williams also possesses perhaps the most devastating finishing move in all of wrestling - an amazing flip piledriver he aptly calls "The Canadian Destroyer". Thus far, no one has been able to get up from the punishing maneuver.

Today, Team Canada is back on top in TNA - dominating all opponents thanks in part to Petey Williams. The star recently regained the number-one contender status to the X Divison Championship after winning The Ultimate X Match against Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley. Whether Williams is able to capitalize on that momentum remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure - it's not a matter of if, but when Petey Williams once again reigns as TNA X Division Champion.
