WWE profile:

Scotty 2 Hotty remains on a quest to become the Cruiserweight Champion, but keeps coming up short. After narrowly losing to reigning Champion Gregory Helms on Friday Night SmackDown in February, he participated in a Nine-Man Sudden Death Match for the gold at No Way Out; unfortunately, he was unable to unseat Helms, who walked out of the match with the gold. While keeping his ambition alive to become champion, Scotty has also become a frequent tag team partner of Funaki in recent weeks. Together, they have competed in numerous matches on Friday Night SmackDown and Velocity.

Before he became Scotty 2 Hotty, Scott Taylor was a die-hard WWE fan growing up. A native of Maine, Scotty regularly attended WWE events at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland and dreamed of the day when he would enter arenas as a WWE Superstar. As a junior in High School, Scotty joined WWE and has not looked back since.

After a few years in WWE, Scotty teamed up with Brian Christopher, aka Grand Master Sexay, to form the team of Too Much. They later changed their image and became Too Cool, forming an alliance with dancing big man Rikishi. Together, Too Cool won the World Tag Team Championship in May 2000.
During that time, Scotty proved himself as a singles competitor as well, defeating Dean Malenko for the Light Heavyweight Championship in April 2000. Still Scotty stuck mostly to teaming with Grand Master Sexay; unfortunately, the team was split apart in May 2002 thanks to injury.

That month, Scotty had the same spinal fusion surgery endured by the likes of Edge, Lita and Chris Benoit, forcing him to miss a year and a half of action. Scotty stayed positive with a never say die attitude, determined to come back and make an impact. Upon his return, Scotty found himself on SmackDown, reunited with Rikishi. As a team, Scotty & Rikishi captured the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Scotty continued to make waves in the Cruiserweight division after splitting with Rikishi. However, in late 2004, a potentially cancerous mass was found in Scotty’s body, forcing him to miss some more time. Fortunately, he was able to return in January 2005, qualifying for the 2005 Royal Rumble Match in his return bout. Scotty remained active on SmackDown throughout 2005, working toward his goal of  becoming the Cruiserweight Champion.

Carefree and always up for a good time, Scotty 2 Hotty is famous for his colorful hip-hop street clothes and dancing. Scotty remains one of the most popular Superstars on SmackDown, and with his signature Worm exciting the crowd, he must always be considered a top contender to the Cruiserweight Championship.
