Following these tours of Japan, where TJ wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling, he established himself as a well balanced wrestler, capable of appearing in any federation, in any division - Mid Heavyweight, Heavyweight or in the tag division, as he is one of the top tag team performers around today.

Joe Daigo (Tokyo Joe), Koji Kanemoto, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Bruce Hart and Davey Boy Smith,  are some of the  major influences on Wilson. He is a young talent, who combines solid groundwork with spectacular high-flying, styles comaprable to the late great Owen Hart.

Appearances in promotions in North America, Europe and Japan have seen TJ face a wide array of opposition. During these matches, TJ has proven himself to be a top notch talent, worthy of any allocades that may come his way.

Wilson is no longer a name to look out for, he has arrived, one of the many  young stars to come out of the famous Dungeon in Calgary. He has quickly followed their footsteps by capturing the British Commonwealth Mid Heavyweight Championship, a title that has been held by such "superstars" as The Dynamite Kid, Owen Hart and Chris Benoit. Stampede Wrestling has helped groom the likes of Bret Hart, and The British Bulldogs, among others.

Formed an incredible tag team with Harry Smith, that were known as the Stampede Bulldogs. In their time teaming, left an impression on promotions throughout the United States and Canada. Along the way winning the PWA Canadian Tag Team Championships and becoming the first ever winners of the AWA Pinnacle Grapple Cup, both in 2005.

On Nov 25 2005, TJ captured his first Heavyweight Championship by defeating former tag team partner Harry Smith, in a thrilling match in the finals of a tournament to crown the new North American Heavyweight champion in Stampede Wrestling. Then on May 20 2006, he followed that once again with another victory over Harry Smith, this time for the AWA Pinnacle Heavyweight Championship. 2006 saw TJ also capture the GCW Canadian National and PWA Heavyweight Championships for the first time.

If there is one guy capable of carrying on the tradition of Stampede Wrestling's internationally recognized reputation, its the "Stampede Kid" TJ Wilson.
