  The Coat-of arms

The coat-of-arms of Nepal is the official seal of His Majesty's Government of Nepal. It depicts the crown under which are the footprints of Gorakhnath, the guardian flanked by two crossed khukuris and national flags. The coat-of-arms also portrays Nepal's national emblems, the geographical image of Nepal, a temple, the moon and sun and two armed soldiers, one carrying a khukri and a bow and an arrow and the other a modern rifle. At its base is the national motto in Sanskrit: "Janani Janmabhumishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi" (The Mother and Motherland are Dearer then Heaven).
