The Lady by the Sea

~~ About Me ~~

Hello, My name is Sharon! Nick name: Sherri. I am a Native Floridian and Native American(although the gene pool became diversified along the way). I was born in Tampa, Florida, quite some time ago and have lived in two other states; Ohio and Georgia. You might say my cultural influences are quite varied, as in relatives, accents and cuisine! As I create additional pages, you will see a glimpse of the many facets of my interests. A Virtual Potpouri!

I have 6 children-- three sons and three daughters(-in-law). I must have done something right in rearing my sons because they chose wives whom I also love as my very own and they are all my best friends partly because they helped BLESS me with seven of the most beautiful, intelligent, talented and sweet GRANDCHILDREN in all the world! (OK...Granny, enough boasting for now.)

I have four siblings and a myriad of extended family, some by blood and some by marriage, and I love them all!

Before "early" retirement in 1991 due to injuries and health issues, I have worn many hats in the work field. Included among these were Hotel/Restaurant Sales and Management, a certified solderer and micro- welder in the space programs having worked on the Titan, Gemini, Saturn 5 projects and the LEM Systems(Lunar Excursion Module). I etched computer chips before I knew anything about personal computers. For nearly ten years I owned and operated my day care center in N.Georgia and learned Sign language to enable me to interpret church services and communicate with hearing impaired friends. My last endeavor (twelve years) was operating an 18 wheeler across country! This was, by far, the most exciting career I ever embarked upon, having inherited my Mother's "Gypsy" traits and love of travel.

My hobbies and special interests now are reading, adding to my personal library, the beach, landscaping and flower gardening, Webtv, garage sales/flea market treasure hunting, and interior decorating. Occasionally, I dabble with paint mediums and sewing. Best of all, I spoil five dogs. AND, most recently I have begun to research my Heritage and this has been an experience like I never expected!!! I have met family I didn't even know I have, very nice folks, and we are net working on this genealogy and they are helping me so much! Quite a fascinating endeavor!

I live in Florida near the coast and I love the ocean, the Gulf, storms, wildlife and ever-changing seascapes and horizons.

You are cordially invited to explore my other Web sites. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did creating them. Please return to my Homepage to see the menu. Thanks! ~Sharon~
