East Grindavik

The following are from a couple of reefs located east of the Grindavik harbor.  All of these pics were taken on the same day during a strong southerly swell in the 8-12' range or so in Grindavik.  The surf was smaller on this side of Grindavik because the inlet blocks some of the swell.

Unnamed reef, East Grindavik.  You can see the dry reef in front of the whitewater in this pic.  Very hollow, dry hair paddle out, but sketchy looking impact zone.

Same wave.  The black dots are a flock of seabirds floating out there.
