Thorlakshofn
This is easily the most popular surf spot in Iceland that I know of.  It's a rock reef point break that gets really good on a reasonable size swell.  This spot is regularly surfed by the local Icelandic surfers.  I've only met a very few, but they seem to be very polite and helpful.  If you come to this spot to surf, please act as a guest, and be respectful of the locals.

Surfer is Dave from NY.  Pic is by his father in law.  Approximately 1 am, mid-June, 2002.
This is a black sand beach on the western side of the Thorlakshofn harbor.  Surf was too small to surf, but the setup was perfect.  8-5-02.
