Surrealism

It was time, I decided to steer to the desert. Actually I just wanted to understand what was inhabiting me, I needed loneliness so that it would be possible to listen clearly to my own thoughts, to analyze symbols and to understand its meanings.

Everything around me seemed to be dead, cold and rocky, just a few clouds changed their shape, each one transforming itself, melting in order to create a new shape with a new meaning.

In the meanwhile, my thoughts went deeper and deeper and reverberated as recurring dreams which I could not understand. Little by little, I recover the lost balance, my body gets light enough to float on the depths of a crystalline sea, I feel a pleasant sensation of torpor which was an immersion inside myself.

I start to see images which change unintelligibly at first sight, but then I see they are interconnected with a weird and personal meaning. After that, I try to catch them but they are like clouds in the sky: I can see them, I can feel them, but I cannot reach them for they change their shape without control. I remember parts of my life, ambitious dreams of an artist, experienced passions, obsessions and objects of my desire.

Suddenly, as if I had awaken from a dream, I remember live parts of those images, colorful and unreal, I’d say unspeakable and other parts which were dead, cold and without defined shapes, they were defined just by monochrome blue color which varies from white to dark black.

There was only one question: have I really seen all that or was it just a temporary lack of reason? I look at the watch and time seems to have stopped. On the sand, I can see footprints which are not mine and were not there when I got there. Was it a dream or just a part of myself?
