Various views of the mountain ranges in New Mexico... we were in the Black Range District of the the Gila National Forest.  One day we hiked up to Diamond Peak (over 10,000') and some of the mountain views (above left) are taken from that vantage point
I will eventually figure out the names for all the flowers I saw in New Mexico.  I absolutely loved them, a flower would appear all be itself in the middle of nowhere.  My absolute favorite was Indian Paintbrush, seen on the left.
I'm finally getting my New Mexico trip up here on my website.  The trip was fantastic, the group of volunteers and three Forest Service personnel ended up building a brand new section of the Continental Scenic Divide trail in the Gila National Forest.  Our trail was up on the side of a mountain, after a week of uprooting trees, working through a rockslide and building rock walls we were finally finished!  If you're ever interested in finding out more about this trip email me or check out other trip opportunities at the American Hiking Society.
