I lived a very quiet life, just doing “my thing” and trying to stay out of trouble. Then I got a computer and it changed my whole life. I met some wonderful friends and discovered a whole new world was out there.
My friends were Parrot(t)heads - Jimmy Buffett fans - and I got caught up in their joy of life. One day they asked me if I had ever attended a concert.
“No”, I said.
“Hummm you must go to one and have fun”, they replied.
So when I read that Jimmy Buffett would be
performing at the Ice Palace during the Gasparilla festivities I was very excited. I knew I had to find a way to get tickets so I could go and see this event.
The tickets went on sale very early and I ran over to the outlet in a pouring rain, and was able to get the last three tickets 
together - 20 minutes after they had gone on sale. My seat would be my favorite number 16 too. This MUST be something special if the tickets went that fast.
Now the Ice Palace is usually the place where the ice gladiators hold forth with combat, the object being to gain control of the magical orb called a Puck. The team gaining control and flinging it at high speed at an opposing gladiator, with it landing behind him in a net structure, the most times wins. If they do this often enough they go to an arena far way and get to bring home a large trophy that is much admired by the citizens of the realm. But for the concert the Palace was to be turned into a beach party. All the ice would be gone and in its place a tropical paradise atmosphere would magically appear.
Just before the concert, on another rainy day, I received this cryptic message: “Enjoy the concert - once you have gone you will no longer be a Jimmy Buffett concert virgin”.
OH NO!! a virgin? Weren’t virgins sacrificed? Would I have to be sacrificed? to the great.....the great.....
