132nd Har Ballabh Festival, 30th December 2007

Suvir participated in the 132nd Harballabh Festival on the last day.

Sur Dharohar Samman, August, 2007

Sur Dharohar Janshe-e-Azadi Festival on the occasion of India's 60 th Independence year was held in August 2007 in Stein Auditorium, Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The Surdharohar Samman 2007 was presented to Suvir Misra for his contributions in preserving the exacting art of Rudra Veena. The Festival featured a rare Sarangi solo by Murad Ali.

 

Saraswati Veena Baithak, June 2007

Suvir played the traditional Raga Kirvani in the hindustani style on the Saraswati Veena at a Baithak in New Delhi.

Surbahar Baithak Concert, New Delhi , October 2006

Suvir performed on Surbahar in the Dhrupad Beenkar Style that uses three mizrabs instead of the usual one mizrab used by Surbahar players belonging to the Sitar Tradition. He plays a rare variant of Raga Chandrakuans that employs Rishabh and Pancham (in Alpa).
