Series: Saiyuki Name: Kanan Age: I have no clue, around 20? About the character: She is the wife/lover (they dont tell you) of Hakkai. To make a long tragic story short and sweet, the villagers in the village she and Hakkai lived in surrendered her to a demon who raped and impregnated her. Hakkai went to rescue her but instead of leaving with him she took his knife and commited suicide right infront of him. In the manga it is also made clear that the two of them were brother and sister. Reason for Cosplaying: I was already going to go as Hakkai when Jace, a guy I met at anime boston last year told me he was doing a lil skit for the Masquerade and need a Kanan so I thought to myself, why not its pretty simple.
