Tidbits;
      The name comes from the Latin Rosmarinus meaning sea dew.
     The ancients were well aware of this shrub and how it helped with the memory. For this reason it became the emblem of fidelity for lovers.
     It is used at weddings, funerals, and as incense in religious ceremonies.The Welsh have a custom of throwing a sprig on the coffin as it is lowered into the ground.
     The Spanish revered rosemary as one of the bushes that gave shelter to the Virgin Mary, and in Italy it was considered a safe guard against witches.
     Scicilians believed that young fairies, taking the form of snakes, lie among the branches.
     The French use it in the hospitals as a disinfectant to purify the air and prevent infection.
