Continuing the Journey

      So Many Times
So many time have I stopped to ponder
How we will make it through these years apart.
I listen for your heart's silent wonder
But all I hear are my yeardrops restart.
Once again you're here though you never left.
My thoughts are full of your memorized face.
Should I forget, I would have nothing left
But the miles between us and endless space.
Once again you're gone though you never came.
My arms still ache from never holding you.
I change the answers while questions stay the same,
Getting used to a life that's nothing new.
So many times have I seen forever-
How we will make it to be together.
