Continuing the Journey
         Nothing Left
There once was a time when I could roam free,
Away from the world that shuns my youth's charm.
They searched through their lies for where I could be
But I was in my words, safe from their harm.
In front of their hollowed stares I disguise
Myself time and time again-costumes bold
And strong so their world never sees me cry
Or reach out for bodies hard to hold.
They try to steal my soul to win their sight.
They trampled through my heart to earn their gain.
I am blind yet still see into the night.
I no longer  feel their stings in my pain.
Deep inside my love and my passions learn.
Nothing but the ashes are left to burn.

      One More Night
Every dream calls as I close my eyes.
Just in time I am waked before I sleep.
As I walk along where the darkness lies,
I watch the moonlight bow its head and weep.
I hear the voices crying out your name.
I wait for your voice with comforts to say.
The voices and mine are one in the same.
I watch the shadows holding hands to pray.
Darkness sits in silence while I wait.
I cannot see them but I can hear them cry.
Time stands still as I realize my fate.
I will never hear your answer though I try.
Silence lingers and your voice has not shown.
Once again, one more night, I sleep alone.
