For about 3 years Kirk and I were usually at the same place at the same time the Race Track but never knew each other at all, he says he knew who I was when he first started talkin to me on the internet because of my big mouth at the race track when I was cheerin for my driver, (ha ha ha)....
So as you can see we met on the internet, just chattin as friends and then he asked me to a race and I will never forget it, he drove to my house to get me and I lived in Boutilier's Point at the time and he lived here in Dartmouth, and he says to me "You did'nt tell me you lived in Chester" well I don't I said, well the drive was certainly long enough he says, well it could'nt of been too bad he continued to come back....
He takes me to a race at Scotia Speedworld, and then left me in the stands by myself so he could go work on their race car, I thought hummmmm this is some kinda date...LOL.....
Anyways it worked out and our first official date was on June 27/98 and we went to Shediac for a race and oh my it was so cold we had to stop in Moncton and buy some warmer clothes can you imagine in June, got to the track and dam near frozed to death.
Well it has been almost 5 years and I can say it has been interesting lots and lots of good times and bad times just like anyone other relationship.
But let me take a minute and tell you about Kirk
He is the most wonderful man I have ever met, he is sensitive, caring, funny, and very thoughtful .
His heart is a very big one and a guy who puts all he has into what he does, he has been with me through my bad times dealing with depression and I have put him through some hard stuff and yet he still tells me he loves me everyday. He tries so hard to keep me and the girls happy, treats the girls as if they were his own. Not too often a man comes along who never had the responsibility of raising a family before and takes one on and has done a very good job and I love him truly for that.
I look forward to many years of laughs and happiness with this guy and I thank god everyday for bringing him into my life.
