Getting out is the biggest step for most "T" people because the numbers of possible disasters are infinite. However, once the panic is overcome, the potential for fun is endless. I've been out in lots of places, with as few as one friend or with groups. Gay bars are usually safe bets but Janice and I had dinner at a regular restaurant in North Beach. The drag shows in bars usually means that the venue is "T" friendly.

Muggs is a lesbian bar and clearly we were made, but it was a slow night so we had a chance to chat with everyone and we had a great time.
