Aloha!!! and welcome to my SCUBA/underwater photo page. My husband and I are both PADI Advanced Open Water Divers and are enjoying our free time diving in Oahu. We enjoy all types of diving including: shore, boat, night, caverns, wreck (non-pen), and underwater photography. The dh is also interested in learning to spearfish. Oahu Diving
Oahu is the most populated of the Hawaiian Islands and is best known for its surfing on the North Shore, nightlife and beaches of Waikiki, and for its military bases (Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hickam AFB, Scholfield Army, and many more). Although not as adventourous as the diving on some of the other Hawaiian Islands, Oahu does have some great sites. The water temp ranges from 72 F in the winter to the high 70's to low 80's in the summer. Usually a full 3mm suit is sufficient, although many dive with a shortie or no wetsuit at all. Gloves are a good idea considering Oahu is full of reefs and rocks. Check out the links below for dive shops, dive maps and sites, and misc. stuff.
