As you pass Electric and Tracks beach take the first left into a housing area and follow the road to the left. There will be a bath house and parking lot. All, although exit can be tricky if it's not flat The max I've hit so far is 43ft. Bathrooms, cold water showers Entry is pretty easy...gear up at the car and walk down the little beach cove. Time the wave sets as the opening makes the waves come crashing and there are lots of rocks. We only dove a straigt heading here and saw alot of fish and one turtle. Alot of fishing is done here, and the locals we spoke too do some freediving here for squid. Similar to Tracks and Electric, although once we saw alot of larger fish here. I have a roll ready to develop and will post them when I get them back. |

Ala Moana area, take the street immediately after the boat harbor(Ala Wai marina). There are a couple entry points here, usually the stairs on theleft are used. Swim along the wall and then follow pipes out and back in. All under 60
Pretty much the same as doing Kewalo Basin/ Keehi (sp?) pipes as a boat dive (the keehi pipes are very near these. Abundant fish, octupus, eels. No photos..yet. NOTE: A dive flag/float is a MUST here due to the boat traffic!!!!!! |

The middle of nowhere-- Keana Pt. Intermediate to Advanced Varies Zip, and its a long way to the nearest place! Wow!! The entry is a 10ft or more jump down....don't bother with the giant stride, easier to do with your fins and mask in hand....just don't forget to inflate your BC first!! There are lots of nooks and crannies, ledges, swim throughs, and lots and lots of marine life since the site is seldom dove. Because of its location its usually only diveable in the summer months due the wave action. Worth the wait though! No photos....didn't want to risk the camera getting beat up, maybe next time!!! There is a photo of the entry on the Rat Dog Having Fun page. (this is a Rat Dog entry....(there is NO WAY I will ever try it this way, I had trouble the "normal" way...terrified of heights). Its the photo on the bottom of the page "Just Diving In'". By the way.....you need a truck/suv preferrably with 4 wheel drive to get here!!! There were some cars out there, but its risky....very VERY bumpy rocky dirt path. |
