Genealogy, the study of family origins and history, has developed into a major hobby for millions
of people. The traditional method of those wishing to find their ancestors, the oral tradition,
is to question parents and grandparents, for they are likely to possess written records and
family Bibles. Afterwards comes the hard part, the leg work, of spending hours in libraries
going thru census, courthouses going thru old records and trumping thru the woods to old
cemeteries hoping to find an ancestor. It is possible with hard work and good luck to construct
one's family history.
My daughter became interested in our family history over twenty five years ago and has accumulated
quite about of information on our surnames. She gives a lot of credit to her family for helping her get started
but thanks all of the other researchers that has shared their information with her. We have put a lot of what
we have on line hoping to be able to help others that are researching our surnames. This is a work in progress, so please contact one fo us if you have any information that might help round out the picture. We have tried to place links to each of our sites.
