BARBIE

I have so many Barbie dolls,
I don't know what to do!

There's Princess Barbies, Birthday Barbies,
ballerinas too.

Mary with her little lamb;
Hawaii Barbie with her tan;

Orientals with their fans;
Mexicans doing the can can.

Barbies going to the beach,
Barbies at the zoo,

Barbies at pajama parties,
just to name a few.

Cleopatra, Juliet,
Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty -

Here's one from the fifties!
Now,isn't she a cutie?

Blondes, brunettes, and redheads
all decked out in plaids;

Holiday Barbies in reds and greens -
there are so many fads!

Some are nurses, teachers, mothers-
and some dressed up real rad!

Like Butterfly with her tatoos.
I think she's really bad!

There's a Coca Cola Barbie -
I think I may go mad!

Whenever I think I have them all,
there's another to be had!

Scarlett O' Hara from "Gone With The Wind"
is on my list of favorites;

And "I Love Lucy" is such a find -
I really, really savor it!

Here's Barbie busy in her kitchen
making cakes all frosted blue.

There she is wheeling her baby.
I think Chrissy's lost a shoe.

I have Barbies floor to ceiling
covering each empty space.

They are elegant and charming
with such beauty and such grace.

Everywhere I look it seems -
even Barbies in my dreams!

Floating past me in the sky,
following odd color schemes.

Angel of Hope, Angel of Peace,
beautiful angels flying by.

I just saw another I have to have.
Now Barbie's a pilot. Oh My!

Barbie has so many cars.
She really must travel far.

A Porsche, a jeep, a Mustang too;
You'd think her a movie star!

She spends spring in gay Paree
and winter in New York;

Summertime in Tokyo
and Autumn in Montreal.

Now my pilot needs a plane,
and we need a pool to entertain;

Also a classroom for Skipper and friends
-Oh where, oh where will it ever end?

We have Barbie's own little home.
Now we need a stable so her horse doesn't roam!

And a pet-grooming shop
to care for her great dane

And make him presentable
to win blue ribbons and fame.

I go to the malls
and I don't think it funny.

I shop and I shop
and I spend all my money!

Just when I think
I have bought

every Barbie
I have sought

I wander through
the toys once more

and see a new Barbie
at the store!!
