Severn Vale Riding Club Official Steward |
At each event, an Official Steward will be present and accessible to all competitors, helpers, judges and stewards, etc. This will, in general, be the Event Secretary, or the person enquiries are made to on the Even Schedule. This person is responsible for organising the safety of persons at the event, also the correct application of the rules and dress code. As a competitor or helper, please help them by being aware of the rules, correct tack and current clothing specification. The Official Steward will, wherever possible, book BHS Registered Instructors, Listed Judges and Approved Venues. Helpers and Stewards, wherever possible, will be experienced and will be sent a copy of the relevant guideslines. Novice or new helpers will be given the opportunity to gain experience alongside the more experienced. At all mounted events, wherever possible, there will be on the field, at all times a qualified First-Aider. At Open Competitions, St Johns Ambulance or equivalent will be in attendance. While the Official Steward has overall responsibility, we all have duties to ourselves, our horses, helpers and spectators. Entry to any SVRC Event constitutes your agreement to abide by the Rules and direction of the Official Steward. |
