TRIBUTE TO AMERICAN VETERANS 11 |
My Hero I could tell when he left He had heard the Call He didn't seem shaken Or Frightened at All He made me so proud all dressed in his Blues To stand up for his Country, its Freedoms its Views He gave me a Hug And said not to Worry He'd take care of this War And be home in a Hurry I'd received a few Letters he'd scribbled in Pen Promising he'd be home soon, I would see him Again A few months went by and not a word from My Son Then a knock at the door and my Nightmare had Begun Two tall gentlemen dressed in their Finest Military Attire Told me that My son had been killed by Enemy Fire "You should be Proud, He died a Hero that Night" He saved other soldier's with his Courage His will and his Might No story or Fame Could ever Replace My Son and his Wonder His warm loving Face And with all the Medals They gave him in high Praise Won't ever make up for his life's stolen Days Written By: Ryan Kinsella-Harmon A Soldier's Call |
