The Chinook had been hit by a Rocket Propelled Grenade on a reconaissance mission during a intense assault on March 3, 2002 on suspected Al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters. |

Daniel Pearl-Age-38 Journalist-Reporter Daniel had been kidnapped in Pakistan while investigating a story linking Pakistani Islamic Militants to a American Terrorist. Daniel was kidnapped on January 23, 2002. Evidence later showed video tape of his death saying that he was killed by a previous unknown group known as the National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistani Sovereignty. Daniel's body has never been recovered. |
