Christmas Rapping
By: Lisa Chen
After Baldwin Park Beautiful, I decided to try out the gift wrapping place at the Puente Hills Mall. When I got there, the place wasn't so busy at all. I think it was because it was located at such a unnoticeable area. It was at the very end of the mall, in a tiny little corner. The shop itself wasn't small or anything, but I just think that not many people knew where it was. Gift wrapping was actually pretty interesting, because they had all the supplies anyone would need for gift wrapping. They even had a bow-making machine, and after a couple of hours, some other volunteers and I finally figured it out. It was one cool machine. It's funny how something like that could keep three teenaged girls amused for a couple of hours. Gift wrapping was also pretty fun because we got to get pretty creative. That was the good part of not having tons of customers. Each gift, in the end, looked as if a professional had wrapped it. I really hope that next year they will get tons of customers, because the ladies in charge there are all so nice and it's for a really good cause. Hope everyone comes and helps out next year!
