Swapna Naskar
SWAPNA NASKAR??? I'm sure you're all wondering who she is. Well, if you've been an active member of Key Club, then you probalby know who she is. But for those who are new....here's a little information about her. Two years ago, SVHS Key Club decided to sponsor a child through the Christian Children's Fund. We were chosen to be the sponsor of Swapna, who is from India. The first few months started out great, but after a while, we fell behind on our donations and even stopped writing to her. She was pretty sad when no one was responding to her letters. Here are a few of her letters that she wrote. If any on you are interested in writing to her, just give it to me, Emilie Poblete, and I'll be glad to mail it to her.
March 19, 1999 My Dear Sponsor,           I as well as the members of our family are extremely glad to know that you have adopted me as your sponsor child. I have got one younger sister. My father is a day laborer and mother looks after us. We reside in a village called Natagarichi about 23km away from the city of Calcutta. My annual examination is going to at present. April 25, 1999 Dear Friends,           Let me hope that all of you are in good health. Having not heard from you fro quite long, I am writing this to you. Your silence has made me out of spirits. I am now in 1st grade. My annual examination is over. Soon the result will be out. Expecting to get a well result. I shall be very glad if you please write to us informing something about you.
