Welcome to Allen and Cheryl's sailing adventures elcome aboard our floating home, Sequel, a Hylas 51 foot sailboat. Travel with us by visiting this site and catch up on what we are doing, which may include voyages to interesting places and stories about people we meet. We will keep this page updated wherever our journey may lead us.
We moved aboard Sequel in the summer of 1995 when Allen was offered an early retirement. He grabbed the opportunity, we sold our home in San Jose, bought Sequel, and started our new life on the water.
The cruising lifestyle has certainly slowed the pace of our life down. Gone are the fast-paced days in Silicon Valley. Instead, we can sit around for hours watching a small bird practicing landings on a pelican's head. People enjoy different things about this lifestyle -- for us it is the people we meet and the freedom of knowing that the things we need are aboard Sequel and that we are able to go wherever the wind may take us.
