I was born, Tina Corbit in Spokane, WA. in 1967. I was
raised mostly in Idaho on or
around the Nez Perce Reservation, though I am not Native
American. My father was
a co-pastor of a tribal church so I was deeply involved
too. I taught Sunday School
from the age of 13, Junior Church, lead
song and testimony service and wrote and
directed to Christmas plays before I left home to
search for work, to exist on
my own.
In 1988, I up and left the Northwest for good. I ended
up in AR and found a job as
a firewatch at ANO, when a year later, I met my hubby to be in
the reactor building
during an outage. When the outage was over and he was
leaving, so did I. I followed
him to MD, where his parents' home was and we married Dec.
30th, 1989. Tim and
I have traveled a lot during our 17 years of marriage, living
in AR, GA, NC, MO and MD.
We are now settled in NC for the second time and his career
path changed in 1994. He
now works in pet food.
I was raised in a Christian home and still love my Lord Jesus.
I don't have children but we have 2 cats that we treat and
love as such. They don't
seem to know any better. Scraps will turn 17 in this Oct.
and Pounce will be 15 in April.
They are getting quite old.
This is Scraps (orange) and Pounce (b&w) at Christmas time
in MO.
My hobbies? Hmmmm.....well, from time to time they
change. At the moment for the second
time in my life, I am an avid reader. I have been hooked
on romance novels since this last
summer. So, I started book trading and having great fun
with it. I, also, have bought
several books off Ebay as I am an Ebayholic. I look for books in
my local thrift stores
and library sales. I work with my graphics and webpages from time to time, as I
used to do
it very avidly for years. I also love to work with genealogy. I have searched out my
hubby's family history and several
branches of mine and I hope one day, again, I will list
the info for others.
My hubby just got his early birthday gift. He chose the
XMRadio. Nights that he doesn't
work, he brings into the house so I can listen to the classic
radio station and the book
readings. This is becoming a new pastime.
I love to watch movies. I can't say that I have a
favorite anymore. I do have my faves in
actors, still. Mel Gibson, of course, and Kevin Costner,
Patrick Swayze and Kurt Russell. I
like most of their stuff.
I have my collections. They say if you have more the 2
of something, it is a collection.
LOL...in my house that could mean trouble.....but really,
quite by accident, I have a
doll collection that just started because I picked up a old
House Of Lloyd doll at a
second hand shop, back in '92. Ever since then, I keep
getting dolls for gifts. I finally had
to tell my hubby and his family to lay off the dolls, though I
would never turn one away. (smile)
I have over a 100 and live in a double wide. I don't
have the room. I like other things too.
This past year, I started a swan collection. It began
with Ebay and moved on from there.
But I think most of my swan have come from Ebay. (I told
you I was a Ebayholic).
Well, this is a little about me. I don't want to bore
you with more, so, I'll let you
return to the other rooms if you like.
