Title of Choice
You may wonder why I chose to call myself Swan by Grace. It is very simple, really. You know that old story of the ugly duckling that grew into a beautiful swan? That is how it is with Christianity. As sinners we are ugly with the filth that we carry. The hatred, the adultery, the murderous ventures, thievery, backbiting, gossip and the list goes on. All of this is ugly in the site of God. So ugly that He can't look up on us. This is why He sent His Son, Jesus, as a go between Him, you and I. We can shed that ugliness and become beautiful swans when we ask for forgiveness of our ugly sins. We shed the old man/woman and become a new. As we grow in Christ, we grow more beautiful, everyday. God sent His Son to save the world, but He gave us a choice. He won't force us to choose Him. But, we can't be in the middle. There is no such thing, in God's eyes. If you do not serve Him, then you automatically serve the devil, even if you are not what we humans call a 'devil worshiper', you still serve Satan, if you are not making the effort to serve God. So what is 'grace'? In God's term it means unmerited love. No matter how many times we turn away from Him, curse Him and reject Him, He is still there. He is our Creator. He would never give up on us. But one day, He will reach a point and that will be when He sends His Son in the rapture to gather all His people. Are you going? I am. He gives us chance after chance to make things right with Him. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:8&9) See, we were born into sin, that can't be helped. It started with Adam and Eve. But now, it is up to each individual to make a personal relationship with God. It is so simple. Just talk to Him like you would talk to me. That is all He wants. If you don't know Him as your personal Savior, all you have to do is pray this little prayer. But this is just the beginning: Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name
of Your Son, Jesus. Now, all you have to do is believe. This is called faith. This is what Christianity is based on. Faith in God, faith in Jesus and faith in the Holy Spirit. If you have made this first step, the next step is to find a church that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people don't think that you have to go to church to be a Christian. Oh yes, you do! The Bible says to 'Assemble yourselves together......' The reason being, is to edify the Christian spirit, to build the knowledge of God's word, encourage in the ways of Jesus Christ, not the ways of the world, which is of Satan. Christian support is very important in a Christian walk. This is why they started assembling themselves together when Jesus walked the faced of the earth. This did not stop. It kept on. That is why God's Word still survives today. Peter kept it, Paul kept it, Martin Luther kept it, John Wesley kept it, Billy Graham keeps it, Joyce Meyers keeps it, I'm trying to keep it. Are you trying to keep it? Remember, if you have read this page or even part of it, and you didn't accept Christ into your life before the day of judgment, you can't blame me for not trying. It is your choice and now, your responsibility. It now falls on your shoulders. Thank you for reading this page.
