Swan's Reveille At Sunrise (CGC, Cerf # CO-1556, normal cardiac, normal thyroid, OFA Excellent, was our smooth sable princess, shown here at 12 weeks. She excelled in head properties, movement and a personality that said FUN! A female duplicate of her sire, BISS Ch. Bethany's Preacher Man (BOB '96 CCA National, BOS/BOV '97 CCA National), she was a very athletic girl with terrific balance and structure. My nine yr. old son finally got the opportunity to take his beloved "Nugget" into the conformation ring and managed to TAKE WB for her first point in Lubbock Tx, Sept. 28th 2002 from the puppy classes. Nugget went out to her fourth show in Abilene Tx and brought home BOS on one day in addition to taking BOV over a male special currently ranked in the top ten! She went out the following weekend to Hobbs N.M., and again brought home BOS on Sunday and AGAIN defeated a male special to take BOV on Saturday! Nugget went back out to N.M. on Sept. 6th, 2003 to take WB. This was followed up by a win in Lubbock, Tx on Sept 28th. OKC brought a BOW worth two points on Oct. 17th to minor out. You can see Nugget resting between ring times below. Nugget was sent out with a handler after I went back to teaching to finish her championship but was overcome by heat stroke. She passed from kidney failure four months later. The final photo was taken with her master and love of her life, my son, Christopher. |
