Hermione's Delight
By Belladonna
"Hermoine, if you don't stop babbling, I swear to God im going to snap." Breathed Harry. Hermoine looked hurt, and Harry knew he should have just kept is mouth shut. After all, it's not like it was her fault they were locked in the astronomy tower together. It was probably more his fault than anything. After all, if he hadn't made her come up there with him, none of this would have happened. He couldn't help it. Lately, all he could think about was her. Every time he saw her, he just wanted to corner her and attack her in the most passionate way. He didn't know what to do, so, he decided he needed to tell her what was on his mind, so he asked her to meet him in the astronomy tower to review something they'd gone over in class that day. The problem was, they had been followed by none other than Malfoy, and as soon as they were in the tower, the door slammed and Malfoy shot every charm he could at it to prevent them from getting out. And now, Hermoine was furious, and babbling like he'd never seen before. She wasn't making any sense. One minute she'd be screaming at Harry, telling him how stupid he was, and then, the next thing you knew, she was telling Harry how scared and worried she was. He just didn't understand it. Then again, he didnt understand women period.

"You know Harry, you have no right to be angry at me, you're the one who dragged me up here. You havent even asked me a single question about astronomy. You've got plenty of time now." Fumed Hermoine.

Harry knew that if he didn't tell her now, he never would. He just didn't know what to say. "Ok. Look Hermoine, the real reason I asked you to come up here, is because I have something that I've been needing to tell you. I think I'm in love with you." Harry said hesitantly.

Hermoine sat frozen to her seat. she was in pure shock. She couldn't think of any words, and even if she could, she didn't think she could have gotten them out. Her mind was reeling. Did he really just say what she thought he did? If he had, this was just what she had been waiting for for years now. They were almost half way through their sixth year now, and she had fallen for him not long after they became friends. "Harry. I , I really don't know what to say." She then decided she didn't need to say anything. She got out of her seat, shaking as she was, walked over to him, and planted the most passionate kiss she could right on his lips.

The next thing they knew, there was a broom floating outside the tower with none other than Malfoy, back for more no doubt, sitting in absolute awe, he was so shocked he nearly fell off of his broom.

Hermoine found herself wishing he had.

Draco couldn't believe it. He couldn't help but burst out laughing. He simply couldnt believe what he was seeing. Clearly they were quite thrilled he had locked them up there broom-less. Well this simply just wouldn't do. While Draco tried to come up with a new plan, Hermoine and Harry turned back to look at each other.

"Hermoine, does this mean what I think it does? ....Hermoine? Please say something. Your making me nervous..." Harry stammered.

Hermoine just didn't know what to say. Half of her mind was thinking of a way to get rid of Malfoy, and the other half was busy trying to figure out what on earth she was going to say to Harry. "Harry, look. We can talk about this later, because obviously we both feel the same, but right now we need to get rid of Malfoy." She looked up, and just as she went to pull out her wand, she realized it was missing. "Harry, please tell me you have your wand..." Hermoine said anxiously.

"Of course I...Uh oh. It's not there." Harry said.

When they looked up at Malfoy, they found where their wands had went. Malfoy held them in his hand.

"How did you??" Harry and Hermoine said in unison.

"Well Mr. and Mrs. Potter, is it alright if I call you that?" Laughed Draco. "Nevermind, you see, all it took was a little genius on my part, and a little kissy-face stupidity on yours, and the wands were mine." Said Draco.

Harry, at this point, was furious to the point where he couldn't even get words out. He didn't know what to do. Without a wand, what could he possibly do? Then it hit him. Outwit him. Shouldn't be that hard, right? Before Harry could say anything, Malfoy beat him to it.

"You know what, its early yet, I dont think I'm quite ready to let you two out, so im going to go study, have some dinner, you know, take my time. I'll see you lovebirds in a few." Draco laughed and was gone before either of them could reply.

Well, Harry thought, there goes that plan. He then turned his attention to Hermoine, whom looked as though she wanted to say something.

"Harry. Did you mean what you said earlier? About being in love with me? Because, if you did, I feel the same way about you. I just never knew how to tell you, if I should tell you, or what I would even begin saying. I just had no clue. I'm sorry Harry, I wanted to tell you, ever since our second year, I've wanted to tell you, I could just never find the words." Hermoine sighed. She didn't want to say to much, yet she also wanted to make sure she said everything she needed to. The look on Harry's face, however, was kinda scary. He looked, well, shocked. She hoped it was just a mix of being trapped in the astronomy tower, and having just confessed his love to her. She wasn't quite sure though, because he wasn't saying anything.

"You know what Hermoine. We just need to get this over with. If we both feel the same way about each other, then why aren't we together? Why didn't you say something earlier? I mean, if you've felt this way for that long, why didn't you say something? You know what? I don't want to know. Hermoine. I want to be with you. There is nothing in this world that I want more, and there is nothing I wouldn't do for you. I love you, that's all there is to it." Harry said in an anxious outburst. He couldn't help it, he just had so much he needed to get out there, and their silence certainly wasn't doing the trick.

Hermoine started to say something, but thought it best if she simply showed him. She walked right up to him and wrapped her arms around him. "Harry. I love you more than words can say, and their is noone on this planet whom I could ever love more. There is no one else I want to be with, It's you, it always has been. I want to be with you in the worst way." Hermoine whispered into Harry's ear.

He stepped back slightly, looked her in the eye for a moment, and kissed her in a way he didn't think he was capable of. Everything he felt came out in that kiss, and he knew she felt it. That's when they both knew, this was it. There would never be anyone else for either of them.

The END.
