Tuscan Deceit
By Belladonna
I just want to add, that the Belle in this story was not derived from my screenname, but from my favorite character Belle on Days of our Lives. Thanks.
Draco sighed as he thought about the forthcoming months. Another summer roaming the country alone, looking for something that intrigued him. Another summer full of shopping for things he already owned and didn’t need nor want. Ever since he had moved out on his own, he had hoped that that was the push he needed, but he just never seemed to find the things he was looking for. He still wasn’t quite sure what these things were. Maybe a few months in the romantic Tuscany, would finally bring him the answers he sought.

“Master Malfoy, The car is waiting downstairs, whenever you’re ready.” Called Joseph, his butler. He took one more look around his enormous room, and headed out the door. Soon enough, he’d be wandering through the expansive market places down the beautiful streets of Tuscany. Maybe this time would be different.

After Draco got into the car, He put the divider up, and sat back and stared out the window. He wasn’t interested in small talk. It wasn’t long before he had drifted off to sleep, dreaming mainly of his upcoming endeavors in Tuscany. Draco was every glad to be getting out of the mansion. He always felt so suffocated. That is, after all, where he spent a good deal of his time. Before he knew it, they were at the airport and he was on his plane. He was pleased to find that his staff had made sure his trip would be extremely comfortable. He found an expanse of food, along with chilled water, a bottle of wine, and a few warmed towels, among other things, within arms reach.

He decided he was still rather tired, and decided to take a short nap, in hopes it would make his flight seem shorter. As he drifted off again, he thought of his trip to Italy, and the things he hoped to find, and the questions he hoped to find answers to.

The voice of the pilot on the loudspeaker woke him abruptly from his nap, saying something about landing soon. Draco was glad of this. He looked out the window of the plane, and saw the beautiful countryside that Tuscany was famous for. He had never seen anything like it before. It was breathtaking.

As he stepped off of the plane, he was greeted by many different people, all promising to make his stay just that much better. He couldn’t help wishing that they would all just go away so he could get to wandering around Tuscany, and take in the sights. He went and checked into his hotel, got himself settled in, and took to the streets almost immediately.

As he was walking down a bustling street, he noticed a woman far off, who was just absolutely breathtaking. Draco was so busy staring at the woman up ahead, he didn’t notice the woman directly in front of him, and abruptly ran right into her. All of the groceries she was carrying crashed to the ground, and he immediately bent to pick them up, without so much as a glance at the woman, he just kept mumbling “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry…”

When he stood up, and finally looked at her, he couldn’t speak. She had to be the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. For the first time in his life, that he could remember, he was speechless. She had these piercing blue eyes, and this gorgeous long black hair. Finally, he found the ability to speak again.

“I am incredibly sorry, Mad’ am, how clumsy of me.” Draco managed.

“Oh darling, don’t worry about it, I wasn’t watching either. It really is alright. Anyway, perhaps some good will come of this crash of ours.” She said. Draco smirked. He absolutely loved where this was going.

“So, have you any plans this afternoon? Because if you’re free…” Draco said. She had the most incredible smile he had ever seen.

“How about, you walk me back to my apartment so I can put my groceries away, and then I know of the perfect little restaurant right across town. It’s small, intimate, and just delicious. What do you say?” She asked.

“I’d love to.” Draco said. He took the groceries from her arms, and she led him away. Maybe this was what he had been waiting for, he thought. It was too soon to tell, of course, but he could hope.

After lunch, they strolled arm in arm through the streets of Tuscany, and later they took a drive through the countryside. Draco felt as though he had known this woman for ages. It suddenly occurred to him that they had been so caught up in conversation since they met; he had never asked her name. Now that he thought about it, it seemed rather silly, being with someone for so many hours, and never asking such a simple thing. He looked over at her, and said

“My dear, it has just occurred to me that I do not know your name.” She looked at him, and with the most innocent smile, said

“My darling, such simple things we forget. My name is Belle. My dear, I am afraid I also do not know your name.”

“Draco Malfoy is my name.” He said. Draco wasn’t sure if he should, but he asked her anyways. “Belle, how would you feel if I asked you to come back to my hotel with me?” Draco managed.

“I’d be delighted my dear Draco.” She blushed.

After he finally built up the courage to kiss her, everything went rather fast. He had started by offering her a glass of wine, and the next thing he knew the wine glasses along with most of their clothing was strewn across the room.

She had him right where she wanted him. At first she had been slightly nervous, but that anxiousness had since vanished, along with any and all inhibitions she might have had. Faking their run-in in the street, wooing him, acting like she had no idea. It was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. She had really out done herself this time. Now that she had gotten herself into his pants, which, she had to say, she had definitely enjoyed, she prepared to make her next move. She looked over at the sleeping blonde next to him. If only he knew, she thought. If only he knew.

He probably assumes she was simply just some muggle. A muggle she was not. A very powerful witch, she was. Bella Mastreani was one of the most powerful witches Voldemort had under his wing. It had been six weeks since she had been assigned her task, and her Master’s patience was growing thin. She kept telling him, “But Master, I have to wait for the right time. It has to be right, or else my plan simply wont work.” She had tried to tell him, but there simply was no convincing Voldemort. He had given her a deadline, along with severe consequences if that deadline was not met.

When Draco awoke, Belle was no where’s to be seen. He checked the bathroom, the kitchen, the living room, she was gone. He sauntered back into the bedroom; a sheet of paper on the pillow she had used caught his eye. It read:

My dearest Draco,
I am deeply sorry to have left you without a word, but I am afraid I had promised myself elsewhere for this morning, but will be in touch as soon as possible.
Kisses,
Belle

He didn’t know what to say, or do, but figured after the sweaty night he had, he probably ought to shower. He grinned. “See Malfoy? You still got it.” He laughed to himself. It felt good to finally touch a woman again. It had been so long, he wasn’t sure if he still knew how. Last night, however, had changed all that.

Draco decided he’d like some fresh air, and he took to the Tuscan streets. As he was walking through a busy market place, he saw her. There was Belle, walking up ahead. He approached her immediately.

“My dear Belle. How are you?” Draco asked.

My darling, There you are. I was just coming to see you.” She said softly. Draco’s mind was reeling. “Draco my dear, I was just finishing up my business for the morning, and am wondering if maybe you might be up to a rematch of last night.” She winked. Draco figured, hey, why not? Maybe it would take his mind of the happenings of this morning.

Things this afternoon went much the same as last night. Most things, went the same anyways, not all. Just as he was about to finish, she made him stop.

“Draco darling, would you get me my purse?” Belle asked. Draco was absolutely shocked. They were in the middle of making love, and she wanted her purse? Oh well, he got up, and handed her her purse. She stopped him dead in his tracks when she pulled out a muggle pistol.

Draco jumped up. “What in the hell are you going to do with that?” Draco exclaimed.

“Oh Draco, I must apologize. You see, I am afraid I have given you false pretenses as to the reasons for my visit today. Although I have to say, the sex is phenomenal, that is not why I am here. I was sent here by a certain man you might know of. His name is Voldemort. I would imagine you think I am simply some muggle woman, but this I am not. My name is Belle Mastreani, and I work for Lord Voldemort.” Belle said. Draco felt sick. Surely she must be kidding. Then again, how could she be? She knew of Lord Voldemort.

“So, what are you going to do?” Draco asked.

Well you see, my dear Draco, I have been ordered to either kill you, or bring you to the catacombs. It is a choice you must make immediately. You have one hour. We may finish what we started if you’d like.” She smiled. Draco’s mind was reeling. What in the hell was going on? How on earth did a romantic afternoon turn into a death threat? How was he supposed to make such a decision? Suddenly, it came to him. He knew exactly what he must do.

“Are you kidding? You got me this close to coming; of course I want to finish up what we started.” Draco said seductively. If she knew what he was thinking, he was a dead man. Belle blushed. This wasn’t exactly the answer she was expecting, but she was always up for another roll in the hay.

Draco was thrusting away, building up, he saw it. She had set the muggle pistol right on the night stand right next to the bed. He locked her lips in a kiss, so she wouldn’t see what he was doing, and he grabbed the pistol. He had never used one before, but hoped it wasn’t difficult. He started moaning loudly in hopes to mask the sounds the gun was making as he cocked it, he got it about an inch from her breast, pulled out of her, and fired into her chest towards the bed.
