Introduction

Students from a university in Austria and a university in London, are working together on a collaborative project, in order to explore how “computer networks can open up entirely new modes of collaboration”.

“Understanding how networks work will be the key to understanding how our network society works”. Therefore, we, students from the UK, were encouraged to explore different ways of communication with the students of Linz through the World Wide Web.

The chosen topic for the experience was “to establish a concept for branding UK in Austria, bringing the cultural aspects of the participating places into the work process”.

For the Preliminary Phase, the students from London were asked to “provide information on the specific features or identities of Great Britain that are supposed to be implemented in the work”.

In the UK Team we separated into teams (Students are free to join into groups or to work alone for gathering information that "maps" best Great Britain). Our team chose the topic of Immigration.
