| august August 31, 2000 - Star magazine reports that Angelina has sent Billy Bob an X-rated care package while she's away filming Tomb Raider. August 28, 2000 - The Enquirer reports that Billy Bob's ex Pietra was angry after their kids were swearing after visiting him. After Thornton complained and said to Angelina perhaps they should file for custody of the kids, Angelina replied that the kids belonged with their mom and then called Pietra to apoligize and promised Billy Bob and his friends would be more careful about cussing in front of the kids. Apparently Angelina and the ex are fast becoming phone friends. August 28, 2000 - The Enquirer reports that Angelina is worried after bulking up for Tomb Raider that she's going to outweigh her scrawny husband, explaining "I'm taking vitamins and I'm on this insane diet. I've been thinking that I'll go home looking bigger than Billy!" August 25, 2000 - Pagesix.com's run in with Jon Voight "You mean in the middle of this crowd and wild noise and big party you want me to tell you is my daughter happily married?" when they replied yes, he said "How should I know? I don't know anything about her. I'm always the last to know anything." August 22, 2000 - The Daily News' Mitchel Fink talked to Billy Bob about being away from Angelina so much lately, as he confesses he's only been able to see her for one week a month and "I miss her a lot when I'm not there" while she's filming away from home. August 22, 2000 - Star magazine reports Billy Bob didn't think much of the expensive motorcycle jacket and Angelina bought for him in London, as he told friends he wouldn't be caught dead in the outfit. August 20, 2000 - Angelina is clearing up rumors today that had her linked to Antonio Banderas when they filmed Dancing in the Dark, saying to the New York Post "It's all lies, jealousy and spite. There were some sexy scenes in the movie, but that's where it ended. He is so in love with Melanie, and I am insane for my husband." August 12, 2000 - Angelina Jolie won Actress of the Year at the 4th Annual Hollywood Film Festival's 'Hollywood Film Awards' on Monday night in Hollywood. August 9, 2000 - Jeannette Walls reports that Angelina Jolie plans to have her Oscar (Girl, Interrupted) welded to Billy Bob's (Slingblade). August 9, 2000 - James Haven's recent account of Angelina getting married in entertaindom.com "I got a call when they were in Vegas and they just simply said 'Do I have your blessing,' and I said, 'How long have I got?' She looked at her watch and said, 'Oh, about 20 minutes.'" August 5, 2000 - Angelina Jolie was complimented by Tomb Raider's producer Lawrence Gordon who said "With Angelina Jolie we have the perfect marriage of actress and character." The film is currently in principal photography and will be released summer 2001. August 4, 2000 - Angelina and Billy Bob have purchased the home of former Guns N' Roses member Slash for nearly $4 million. The eight-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate is in Beverly Hills. August 3, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports that Billy Bob and a guy friend were seen eating out at City of the Fallen Fruitcakes with "a couple of cute chicks who resembled the kinky tattoo girl." August 1, 2000 - Salon.com reports the following quote from Gone in 60 Seconds co-star Vinnie Jones, "I think I've seen all Angelina's tattoos except the new one she had done for her husband, Billy Bob." [we assume that's a reference to her below the bikini tattoo...] August 1, 2000 - The London Times reports tha Angelina Jolie stormed out of a British polo event after labeling her fellow attendees (including Minnie Driver and Billy Zane) "pompous assholes." Though she later exclaimed that the real reason she left was that she wanted a burger, "I love Big Macs," she said. [ironically the same excuse she gave for ditching the U.K. premiere of Gone in 60 Seconds.] july July 29, 2000 - Variety reports that Angelina Jolie is in negotiations to star in Oliver Stone's Beyond Borders which she would star opposite Kevin Costner. Jolie was drawn to the high-minded material of the international relief worker-themed romantic drama. July 27, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports Angelina and brother James met up with Billy Bob and Jon Voight on the set of the untitled Coen brothers movie. July 26, 2000 - The New York Daily News reports that Angelina's ex has 'fallen in love again' with Jennifer Esposito, who herself recently broke up with soap star Cameron Mathison. July 22, 2000 - The Star reports that Angelina Jolie is trying to get Billy Bob Thornton over his fear of flying so he can be with her during the filming of Tomb Raider. She's bought him self help tapes and sent him to a hypnotherapist, although to this point nothing has worked. July 20, 2000 - E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports today the bombshell news that Angelina Jolie has two Billy Bob tattoos. The other? directly above her clitoris. He also reports Angelina had to submit to a drug test to insure herself for Tomb Raider, which sources confirmed but her rep denied. The added that Jolie did pass the test. Finally, Ted reports Billy Bob and Angelina attented a screening of Jesus' Son and later went to the Wolfgang Puck Café. July 17, 2000 - Angelina Jolie talks about her Tomb Raider role as it relates to her ex, Jonny Lee Miller, saying "Jonny used to play Tomb Raider all the time and I used to compete with this woman," Jolie told the Scottish Daily Record. "Taking on this part is a woman’s revenge, isn’t it?" July 14, 2000 - As we've reported, despite the fact that both Angelina and Billy Bob have homes in LA, they've been staying at the Sunset Marquis when in town, but E! Online's Ted Casablanca reports they are looking for another LA home according to realtors. Ted also says AJ and Billy Bob showed up at the Sports Center bowling lanes in the San Fernando Valley, except it was League night and no lanes were open. July 11, 2000 - Melanie Griffith talked to the New York Daily News on Angelina and her movie with her husband Antonio Banderas "I trust my husband and I believe him when he says he loves me and he's faithful to me," Griffith says. "[Jolie] may get him in bed for eight hours on a movie set, but I get him in bed every day." July 5, 2000 - Angelina Jolie was on ET tonight as she was interviewed at the MI:2 premiere in London which she attended. Why? She's filming for Tomb Raider there. She arrived alone, as Billy Bob is back home, but said the open romance with him will continue, so they can keep writing about it. |
