| *The book starts with Morgan sitting in a tea shop preparing to break up with Hunter, they have scarcely seen eachother in the past 4 years. *Morgan had been working to revive Belwicket and Hunter started something called New Charter to replace the counsel. *Hunter surprises Morgan by asking to have a hand fasting, and she agrees. *On the day of Hunter's last meeting with New Charter, he was going to stop traveling to be with morgan, his Ferry is capsized in an unexpected storm and he is presumed dead by everyone and Morgan. *In a fit of pain Morgan threw her hands in the air and the ring Hunter had given her was thrown into the ocean. *20 years later Morgan is a Mother and Widow. *She had married a man named Colm, who died several months prior, and had a child with him named Moira. *Moira is somewhat like Morgan, in the sense she is somewhat naive and has extremely strong powers. *Moira is 15 years old. And almost ready to be initiated. *There is a rival coven in the next town that Morgan considers to be too "free" with their magick. *The son of the High Priestess, Ian Delaney, coincidentally falls for Moira and she for him. * Part of the main conflict is that Moira begins to find out things about her mother she never knew by reading her BOS. *Morgan never mentioned to Moira that she was someone else's MBD, her real father was Ciaran MacEwan or about the Cal/ Selene situation. *As things begin to unravel another problem arises... is Hunter still alive? *Morgan begins to recieve dreams and ahs visions of him. *Morgan decides she is being cursed by Lillith Delaney the rival covens High Priestess, but that theory doesn't seem to work because there are only about 3 people who know the entire story about what happened to Hunter and her love for him. *She knows it cannot be Ciaran he died 4 years after he was stripped of his powers. (At Ciaran's funeral Grania was enraged by Morgan being there and Kyle tried to curse her, while Iona sat there with a look of contempt on her face.) *eventually Killian comes down and makes a small appearence. *Sky comes down just in time for the BIGGEST spoiler... Colm's mother, Moira's grandmother, admits to spelling Morgan after she became extremely ill when Hunter died, because she was already pregnant with HUNTER's Child... and she allowed Colm to make Morgan believe it was his, since she had married Colm only one month after Hunter's death. This only leads up to them realizing the messages from Hunter aren't just being put into Morgan's visions... they could be real.
