"Every cloud has a silver lining"-----------------------rephrased from John Milton

In Korea, there is similar proverb with “every cloud has a silver lining” which is “하늘이 무너져도 솟아날 구멍이 있다.” I heard that there’s like instance proverb not only in Korea but also in France and Japan. It means regardless of the country is America or not, this proverb is applicable for all of us because proverb made by people’s experiences or prejudice.

When we get in trouble, most of time, we exhibit our hidden ability to overcome the trouble. In normal life we don’t notice about our hidden ability, but in emergency, we can feel our ability by ourselves. On harsh period, it can be a “silver lining” to surmount our hard tasks. And then, we feel and think there is a way to conquer this hard task. If we are on very hard painstaking, we can detect happiness or good fortune very well even that is very tiny and slight. And even the chance to overcome the tough thing is very hard to catch, we seize the opportunity and finally solve the problem. When I was 3rd grade of middle school, I was on very tough time because of this school. My GPA was too low to come into this school so I was depressed. But at that time, CSIA entitle students who have “A” in 3rd grade English to apply at this school. After I heard about it, I studied very hard. I really wanted to come into this school and I thought ‘this chance is for me’. Everyday, I was fighting with myself and it was tougher than study. However, I overcame that harsh time and finally come into this school through that silver lining.

Now I am believe this proverb “every cloud has a silver lining” and I would like to make everyone to believe it and don’t give up. It is certainly becoming a huge advantage to think positively, then negatively.
