After reading this you will think I should win a Darwinian award. It has to be the stupidest thing I've ever done. Hopefully, I will NEVER do anything this stupid again. Please keep in mind, I have never smoked, used drugs, or drank alcohol and according to I.Q. tests I score between 125 to 132 (100 is average I.Q). So this was just a REALLY stupid moment.
When I was 22 years old, one day I was having trouble sleeping because my boyfriend at the time had just broken up with me the day before. It was around 5 am in the morning and I decided to go drive my car. I was very sad, angry, and tired so I wasn't thinking clearly to begin with. Anyhow, I was driving for a while and decided to go back home. My car had been having trouble; as I was ready to drive up a hill in the road, it wouldn't go up it.
I decided to leave the driver side door open and try to push my car up the hill while steering the wheel. The car started rolling backwards; I ran away from it for a few seconds. I decided I could jump in the car before it rolled back into
someone's yard, who had a creek in which my car was heading. As I was chasing the car in order to jump into it, I said "God please help me". If I hadn't said these words I believe I would be dead today. The driver side door knocked me down, I was laying on the ground. I swear to you, it felt like the car wheel rolled up my one leg, over my back, then over the back of my skull. Besides getting up off the ground scared and in pain, I was ok. The car had miraculously rolled onto two poles that prevented it from rolling in the people's yard. If it rolled any further left or right it would of ran into their yard.
I was sobbing and walking up the road; thinking my dad is going to be p*ssed off at me. About less than a minute later, an older man in a truck stopped asked me if I needed a ride home. I said yes please. He said to me I didn't need to cry about my car. He thought I was just crying because my car rolled off the road I guess. I didn't want to tell him about the stupid thing I did.
