Hearts
You've surely heard the expression "a heart made of gold",
It is an expression so very, very old.
But what of hearts of silver and bronze, I ask you?
They must surely amount to something too.
They all, gold, silver, and bronze can melt.
With a kind that can't, a heart of stone, no feelings are felt.
And what of a heart made of ice?
It too can be melted with heat, the heat of love to be precise.
None of these hearts are bad to have, even the heart of stone.
For, when any of these finds their one true love it will be made love's own.
And while the mind can produce lies,
The heart is always very wise.
The heart can see through all forms of deception,
But gives nothing but love, and in it love will always have a warm reception.
