| Chapter 1 “ Janie, hurry up! We’re going to be late!” I say. “Coming, I had to find my new shoes. What do ya think?” Janie asks. “Awesome! Now let’s go,” I say. We were going to the best dance club in town that night. Janie was wearing a red halter top and jeans, and I was wearing a pink tube top and jeans. We get to the club that night and walk in. “I’ll be right back Janie,” I say as I turn around and bump into someone with dreadlocks and a bandana on. “Sorry!” I say to him. “Don’t worry about it!” he says. We have direct eye contact. I come out of the ladies room and I walk back over to Janie. “I just ran into the most gorgeous guy I’ve ever seen!” I say to Janie. “What does he look like?” she asks. “Well, he has dreads, the most gorgeous blue eyes I’ve ever seen, goatee, and a nice body!” I say. We continue dancing and I see that same guy walk back over to me. He smiles at me and watches me dance. “Hi, I’m Jacob and these are my buds Ashley Angel, Erik, Dan, and Trevor...and you are?” “Hi guys..I’m Lacy,” I say. “Nice to meet you, Lacy,” Jacob says with a smile. Later that night before I leave, Jacob asks me for my phone number. I give him my number and a kiss on the cheek, “I’ll see ya later maybe.” Janie and I go back to our place and I go into my room and change into my sleeping clothes and sit on my bed. The phone rings and I answer it, “Hello?” “Is this Lacy?” “Yea.” “Hi, this is Jacob.” “Hey Jacob, how are you doing?” “Good, I was just calling you before I go to bed to make sure that you got home alright. It looked like your friend a lil too much to drink.” “Yea. She’s a heavy drinker.” “Well, anyways, goodnight cutie...” “Goodnight Jacob.” I lay back on my pillows and all I could think about was Jacob. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “So, looks like Jacob has got a heart for someone,” Ashley says. “Yup, Jacob’s in love,” Trevor says. “Don’t let that one go Jacob,” Dan says. “Yeah, she’s a keeper,” Erik says. Jacob sits there and then gets up and goes to bed. He starts dreaming about me, then he feels someone shaking him. “Jacob, it’s time to get up man!” Dan says. They go to the recording studio the next day and Jacob calls me on his cell phone from there. “Hello?” I say. “Hey cutie,” he says. “Hey, how’s everything going?” I ask. “Good we are doing some recording today, I just finished up and I decided to call you. If you’re not doing anything tonight would you wanna go see a movie or something?” he asks. “Sure, but I don’t think Janie is going to come. She moved back to Texas today” I say. “Well, then that means you’re alone,” he says. “Yeah, all alone,” I say. “Well, I’ll pick you up tonight around 9?” he says. “Sure, sounds great,” I say. 9p.m. Jacob comes to my house and knocks on my door. I open the door and let him in. “Ready to go?” he asks. “Yea let’s go,” I say as I turn off the lights and walk out the door. We get into Jacob’s car and go to the movie theater. We go and see Pearl Harbor and then we get back into Jacob’s car and he drives to the beach. We get out and walk on the beach for hours. I stand there and he wraps his arms around my waist. “You are the prettiest girl that I have ever seen,” he says. “Thanks, you’re the hottest guy,” I say. He drives me back to my house and we stand on my doorstep. We gaze into each others eyes. “I had a great night tonight Jacob, thank you,” I say. “Anything for you,” he says. I smile at him and he asks, “I know that we haven’t known each other for the longest time, but, will you be my girlfriend?” “Yes, I will.” We smile at each other and then we kiss on the lips. I watch him walk to his car and get in. I unlock my door after he drives off and then I walk in and close it. I turn on the lights and I see my ex standing there. Chapter 2 “What are you doing here?” I ask. “I thought that we could just have a night together,” he says. I could smell the alcohol on his breath when he spoke. “Justin, I found someone else, someone that actually is nice to me,” I say. He pushes me up against the wall, “How dare you!” he yells. “Let go of me!” I scream. He start beating me up and punching me and throwing me all over the place. I fall to the ground and he says, “This is what happens when you’re a bitch!” I lay there on the floor feeling pain all over my body. I couldn’t move at all because I was in so much pain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “So, Jacob how was your date?” Erik asks. “Awesome, she is so nice,” he says. “Yeah, and hot!” Trevor adds. “I’m going to go and call her to see if everything is ok,” Jacob says as he gets up and goes over the phone. The phone rings and rings and rings and no one picks up. The guys sit there waiting for him to say something but he just stands there waiting for me to pick up. He hangs the phone up and says, “I’m going over there.” “I’m going too,” says Ashley. Jacob and Ashley get into the car and pull out from the house. “I had a feeling that something was going to happen tonight,” Jacob says. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I felt like I had been laying there for hours. Someone opens the door. “Please don’t hurt me again!” I scream. “Lacy? What happened? Are you ok?” Jacob asks as he runs over to me. “Ashley, call 911!” “Who did this to you?” Jacob asks. “It was an ex of mine, he was drunk,” I say. The ambulance comes and takes me to the hospital. Jacob gets in the ambulance with me and Ashley follows behind in the car. Jacob holds my hand and looks at me. He was mad and furious, I could tell, but he was also saddened by seeing me looking so hurt. We get to the hospital and Jacob waits in the waiting room and Ashley walks in. “What happened Jacob?” Ashley asks. “Her ex must have been in there waiting for her, he was the one that beat her up,” Jacob says. The doctor comes out 30 min later. “Is she going to be ok?” Jacob asks. “She’s going to be fine,” the doctor says. “She just has bruises all over but other than that she is fine. We are going to keep her overnight though just to make sure.” “Ash, you can go back home, I’m going to stay with her tonight, ok?” “Sure man,” Ashley says. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “What is taking them so long?” Trevor asks. “I don’t know man,” Erik says. Ashley walks in the door. “Ashley? Where’s Jacob?” Dan asks. “He’s at the hospital with Lacy.” “OMG what happened? Is she ok?” Erik asks. “She’s going to be fine don’t worry.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jacob walks into the room I was in and walks over and sits beside me. He sees tears going down my cheeks. “You’re going to be okay, don’t worry, just move in with us, and you’re going to be fine.” “Okay, I’ll move in with you guys.” “Now, just rest.” Chapter 3 I fall asleep at the hospital and the next morning I wake up expecting Jacob to be sitting there and he isn’t. “Nurse? Where did Jacob go?” “He went home for a lil bit” “Okay” I lay there in the bed. He comes in with a dozen roses. “Awe, thanks Jacob” “Anything for you beautiful” He was wearing a blue bandana, with a blue tshirt, and jeans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ashley wakes up early that next morning and sits down to eat breakfast. He goes into the guys rooms and asks if they would like to go with him to see me. They all were awake too thinking about me. They arrive at the hospital and come in to my room. “Hey guys!” They each give me and kiss on the cheek and a hug. “How are you feeling?” Ashley asks. “Sore.” Jacob sits beside me and holds my hand. A couple of hours pass and Dan says,” We’d love to stay but we need to go and practice.” “Alright.” They each hug me again and Jacob says, “I’ll be there in a min.” He sits there beside me. “You’re going to have to come to the dance studio to see us dance sometime.” “I’ll probably be there everyday, now that I’m living with you.” He smiles at me and I smile back. “You’re going to be ok right?” he asks. “Yeah.” “I’ll be back in a couple of hours to pick you up.” He kisses me and he says “I love you” “I love you too” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “This dance for Bring Me Under is awesome guys!” Dan says. “Hey Jacob? Could I talk to you for a sec?” Ashley asks. “Yeah, sure.” Jacob says. “I’ve been thinking about us playing guitar for Love Should Be A Crime. Do you wanna play?” Ashley asks. “Yeah, that would be so awesome to play and sing,” Jacob says. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jacob comes into the hospital room. “Ready to go baby?” “Yeah” We walk out of the hospital holding hands and we get into the car and get back to my place. I open the door and we go inside to get my things. I walk out and lock the door. “Man I’m going to miss this place” I say to myself as I turn around and walk to the car. ***Go on to chapters 4,5,&6*** |
