This is a fanlisting for the 1940s.  A decade that to some may have been one of the bloodiest decades, but to others it was the best time in their lives.  Just because a war was going on, didn't mean the world stopped turning.  Children, teens, and adults alike tried to enjoy what was given them.  As the boys went off to war, the women worked to provide for thier families;  while the women worked, the children went out to their local swing clubs and left their worries at home.  They danced, sang, and laughed their problems away.  This was the forties and they had A Swingin' Good Time!
