My heart hurts to see you go down the road. Dad, I know you say you won't be back this way again because you were betrayed by my brother, but I'm afraid that I'll never see you again.  I just want to go with you, but it's always been the two of you in a mysterious bond so strong, that I know you don't need me to protect you.  Your love for each other keeps you strong wherever you go.  Together you truly are one. Thank you for showing me what the fire of true love between a man and a woman is.  I know I won't give up searching until I have that love in my life.

Dad was killed in Harbortown Marina, Ft. Pierce, FL, on May 12th, 2003. He was run over by the  Marine Travelift carrying his own Crealock 34 and hours later he bled to death.  The circumstances are an unsolved mystery. I had promised to sail with him to Ireland in the fall.  It was to be the sail of a lifetime.  His words and my panic were prophetic.  He never did come back to Maryland.
