Let's Destroy All Gods!

Originally conceived as a fun goth compilation CD for one of my OU friends, Brian Matthews, it was also my first real attempt as making CD cover art. LDAG grew until it eventually covered 3 entire CDs. Eventually, I culled down the music and solidified the mix so that I could distribute it to other friends and my radio show listeners. The final version of LDAG was a 2 CD set. Incorporating artwork from all 3 originals. Since every CD I make for friends has something unique about it, I don't have most of the variant artwork that I created for different versions, but these are the essential pieces that I created that are more or less common to all of them. Special thanks to Peter Van Den Eng for supplying me with the scans from his copy. |

The original cover for LDAG, Vol. 1 -- the only piece that I've never altered for the various versions. The original art is a mechanical collage made from sub-par photos from my 1999 trip to Europe. Lots of scissors, glue, and tape went into this baby! Pete's version also has a parental advisory label (actually on the outer casing) that I've chosen not to reproduce here.
The original front cover art to LDAG, Vol. 3. The only time I used this art was for Brian Matthews' original CD, however, an altered version of this art was the basis for the cover art of "Vague Threats". Once again, this is a physical paste-up of photographic elements. In this case, a blurry photo taken from a train. This was also the first time I used Evil Granny for cover art. The back cover was the same artwork sans Granny and flipped upside down. The overall effect is very appealing, and this is still my favorite of the CD cover art that I've done.

The original back cover art for LDAG, Vol. 1 -- The Evil Granny head is unique to Peter V's version and didn't exist on any of the others. It was my revenge on Pete for introducing me to Evil Granny to begin with! Just below the face, and just above the cave entrance is written "Hell". That's on all the versions, as I wrote it directly onto the original photo, but it's a bit hard to make out in the scan.
