Be silent. For just a moment. I know you are busy. Reflect on the season: your blessings, giving spirits, the birth of our savior. You may not get everything done that "needs" to be done this month. That's O.K. It will not be a big disastor if your house isn't spotless for company, or your kids get less presents. There are more important things. See if you can remember them this December.
Hopefully a checklist will help you feel less overwhelmed. Let me know if I missed anything.
Pick out an advent calendar and wreath. I make an advent chain with the kids. Each link has a different thing to do this holiday season like make cookies with mom and give someone a big hug.
Get out your decorations. (This takes a day in itself with the decorations in the back of the storage closet).
Buy presents, preferably during the day. You can see if you can get any presents online that will get there or to you on time.
Have a holiday craft day with the kids for homemade decorations and cards.
Exercise and take vitamin C so you don't get rundown.
Get holiday pictures taken if not done already.
Start filling out Christmas cards.
Go over Christmas calendar together.
Keep writing out cards.
Send out of state packages.
