It is so hard to be content and happy, if you are not grateful. We all have so many blessings, but it is really easy to get bogged down by "bad days." I want you to try this: every night before bed think of five things you are thankful for. Some days this will be easy. But, it most important on days where it is hard. That's when you remember your everyday blessings: a home, your family, a warm bed, or whatever.
This Thanksgiving in between food and football see if you can list 100 things on a piece of paper which you are thankful for. They can be silly or serious. Rediscover the joy that is found in simple things.
