What does Straight Edge mean to you?
Brandon said it good, self respect.Theres already enough crap in this world as it is; keep yourself clean and keep it right; not like how the world's got it all playing out.
How did you get into it?
Via my buddy Ben,( www.vpetz.com/uxu ). I heard about it through him, and decided one day to check it out more deeply. Quite spiff indeed.
What's the sXe scene like in your area?
Ehh,I'd say it'd probably be alright enough; I mean it is Seattle, good number of people...I just don't really know anyone personally that's outwardly Straight Edge,kinda. Plenty of my friends in youth group live by what sXe is but don't say they're Straight Edge or that kind of stuff. For some of us here, it's just kind of like a given; I mean, you don't hardly ever designate that you are sXe because you just live it. That's what it is, you live it.
What are some of your hobbies?
Serving God, listening to music, hanging out & talking with my friends, writing,playing hockey,all that good stuff. yo.
Music tastes?
Every freaking thing under the sun. I can go from rock to hip-hop to death metal to worship to classical to jazz to hardcore; you name the genre; I love it.
Fave bands?
Lately,it's been Nickelback, Matchbox 20, Theory Of A Deadman, Pillar,Figure Four,Comeback Kid, Audio Adrenaline,Jars Of Clay, tobyMac,Living Sacrifice, The Clash and a bunch of others.
Best ever show?
Oi,it's a tie between Default/Jerry Cantrell/Nickelback, and Sanctus Real,John Reuben/Pillar/Supertones. That was good,and I met the guys from Pillar. They rock. Met Nickelback too, awesome guys.
Same with anyone who makes a bad choice,and we've all done that; it's something where we've been blessed with the privilege of choice and there are times we abuse it and make some bad choices for ourselves.
