I think it's coming up to about 3 years now if I remember rightly. But I'll do the math and get back to you on that one. But it's something around that mark,yeah.
What does Straight Edge mean to you?
It's a lifestyle I live and it means alot to me. It's how I live and it's a personal choice that I make and am proud to be a part of.
How did you get into it?
Smoked some drugs with a friend,got sick. Felt really ill and bad.
About the same time I was getting into the hardcore scene and had discovered Minor Threat. I finally found something I just clicked with and I looked into it more and thought 'this is amazing.' And I haven't looked back since then.
What's the sXe scene like in your area?
Huh? Well as far I know, there's about 3 other people that live within 20 miles that I know are Edge. But I've been told there are more,but I don't know. There is obviously a big scene in London which is about 30 minutes away but that's about it.
What are some of your hobbies?
Writing music,playing music,listening to music,watching music,playing in my band.Reading,writing,going to shows,and occasionally now very rarely skateboarding.
Music tastes?
Anything that rocks.Hard.Metal,hardcore,punk.Then sometimes a bit of drum n bass and hip hop. But it's mainly gotta involve guitars to make me smile.
Fave bands?
Oh gosh. Sevendust,VOD,GlassJAw,Staind,Deftones, Seventh Star, Hatebreed,Chimaira etc etc.
Best ever show?
Machine Head in November! Nothing but mosh and headbanging for 4 hours...HEAVEN.
Oooo....SikTh, last band at the Uxfest 2003. Nothing but good memories. Badass mosh and headbanging.
Whatever's clever. You live by your own rules and if you make the decision to break Edge it's up to you. It disheartens me to see people that make a lifetime choice change it though. But it's up to you, you may change. That's just my opinion.
First record you ever brought?
gosh. 'the greatest rap album ever' or something I think. First hardcore/metal album?God I don't know. I'll get back to you on that.It might have been something by Slayer though...
