Important Issues and Notes
The orbits of the faces impose a weird restriction on how the corners must be solved. This is because each orbit of faces does not have a piece of each color. On Octa EA1 the fixed edges provide reference points and keep this from becoming a problem. Each face contains pieces of three orbits. Faces opposite each other contain pieces from the same three orbits.

Each orbit contains one piece of six different colors. The domain of each orbit can be traces by following the line connecting the long sides of each face piece around the puzzle. The two faces which each orbit skips are opposite each other. The three pieces of each color may only come together on two different faces, which are opposite each other.

Step one should be done by solving four faces around a corner using that corner as a reference point. After that the next four faces will be forced into the correct places.
