Brendan Cowell: Actor & Playwright | ||||||
Transcript of Brendan’s ABC noise radio profile (1:14) 23 September, 2001 “I guess I listen to a lot of music. My name’s Brendan Cowell, I’m 25, I was born in Cronulla, and I’m an actor slash writer. I read a little bit of the Herald. I love the storytelling, I love affecting people. I love doing it with people that are like-minded and absolutely risking financial, spiritual, mental, physical health to tell a story that we believe in. I write on lots of different pieces of paper. I walk around a lot with my dog. I listen when people argue, And I guess I just look. I want to take our stories overseas. I want to take the style of storytelling overseas. I want to learn more, but I want to go on the big stages. I think we deserve to. And my stories and the stories I’m seeing from other young companies, They shake you up, you know. They spice your life up, they threaten you. They invigorate you, they make you feel alive. I want that, I want everyone to see that.” This audio clip can be heard at www.abc.net.au/noise/profiles/s388544.htm Brendan's Bio (2001) from the Noise site As an actor, I've performed in various feature films such as, 'Monkeys Mask', 'Kick', 'City Loop', 'Monster', and the soon to be released American POW film, 'To End All Wars', with Robert Carlyle and Kiefer Sutherland.
