Your cards influence where you must build, but you can choose to build in any of the six areas. You can also steal control of other players buildings by playing your pieces on top of their buildings, taking over their hard-earned points. Once each player has built six pieces, the round is over and all players score points based on who has the tallest building, who has the most buildings in each area, and how many buildings each player controls. After four rounds of building and scoring, the player with the most points wins.
Tigris & Euphrates A Game of Culture, Crisis, Conflict & Civilisation by Mayfair Games
Thousands of years ago, in the fertile land between the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers, a new civilization flourished. It is your responsibility to see that your dynasty grows and prospers in this land. You use your four leaders: The King, the Priest, the Merchant, and the Farmer, to accomplish your goal of forging a strong kingdom out of the small settlements that dot the landscape. If necessary, you further your aims at the expense of your neighbors. As the lands are limited, conflicts and takeovers are the order of the day. The key to your victory, however, does not rest in military conquest alone! You must develope all four areas of civilization: Politics, religion, Trade, and Agriculture. Each of these areas is the responsibilty of a different leader, and you must use all four of your leaders together to secure your destiny. No area can be neglected, or your dynasty will be left in the dust.
